ABOUT POWER UP
Power Up Girls program is designed to give area players an affordable, accessible option to play club volleyball. We focus on whole player development so athletes can excel in their school programs and beyond.
Power Up was founded in 2010 and grew into an established part of the local volleyball community. The club paused operations during the pandemic after losing access to its practice facilities, and returned to Oregon when the opportunity arose to bring the program back. Over Power Up's first 10 years, we helped countless athletes become some of the top players in the area, the state, and even nationally.
OUR MISSION
Power Up seeks to train athletes at a high level while minimizing player and parent burnout. Our practice and tournament schedules provide meaningful training and competition while leaving room for school sports, academics, family, and other activities.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our coaches see themselves as teachers. We want every athlete to learn, improve, and become the best volleyball player they can be.
Teams are intentionally kept small, usually between 8–10 players, so players can receive consistent opportunities to play and develop. Every athletes in our gym receives our best coaching, whether they are experienced players or just beginning volleyball.

Meet the Director
The club is led by founder and director Christy Sitze, who has more than 20 years of coaching experience at the club, high school, and collegiate levels. For nine years, Christy served as a high school head volleyball coach. During that time, her teams won five conference championships, eight regional championships, advanced to four sectional finals, and won one sectional championship. That sectional championship team was later inducted into its school’s Hall of Fame, and Christy was also recognized as Coach of the Year.
Christy later spent two seasons coaching NCAA Division III volleyball. During that time, the program doubled its win total, developed its first All-Conference player in seven years, and finished third in the nation in blocking. Throughout her coaching career, Christy has worked with athletes who have gone on to earn All-Conference, All-Area, All-State, and All-American honors.
Power Up paused operations during the pandemic after losing access to its practice facilites. During that time, Christy remained active in volleyball as the Regional Tournament Director within the LOVB club network.
Christy is excited to bring Power Up back to the community and once again proviee local athletes with a place to train, compete, and grow.
